James G. Oster, ACTAR #2272

Mr. Oster is the principal and senior reconstruction expert at Collision Forensics, LLC and brings over 21 years of police experience in the field of traffic accident investigation and reconstruction to our company.  Mr. Oster has qualified and testified as an expert witness in the field of traffic accident invetigation and reconstruction in state and local criminal and civil courts as well as at department of motor vehicles fatal accident hearings.  He is accredited by the Accreditation Commission For Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR) and is certified by the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) as an instructor in the field of traffic accident investigation.  Mr. Oster has investigated over 1500 traffic crashes and has completed over 1000 hours of specialized training in the field of collision reconstruction.  He is also an expert in the area of crash data retrieval (frequently referred to as the "black box") and has downloaded crash data from over 500 vehicles.  He has also been certified by the Collision Safety Institute as a Crash Data Retrieval Trainer/Mentor.  Mr. Oster is currently a member of the New York Statewide Traffic Accident Reconstruction Society (NYSTARS).
